Utrechtse Heuvelrug Triathlon voor het Diabetes Fonds

Diabetes is still one of the most common chronic diseases in the Netherlands. A total of 1.2 million Dutch people struggle daily with Type 1 or 2 diabetes.

But every day we're taking a step forward. Studies on Type 1 diabetes are showing promising results, and there are more and more discoveries about this autoimmune disease.

In addition, the artificial pancreas is almost ready to enter the market! The artificial pancreas allows for easy regulation of blood sugar, significantly improving quality of life. The studies are in the final stages and the results are promising!

And that is why I'm taking action together with my buddy Dion. We are doing this by participating in the quarter triathlon of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug on September 21, 2024. This is a distance of 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.

With this action we hope to generate attention for diabetes patients. All contributions will go directly to the Diabetes Fund. Thank you for your support and help.

Super dat je overweegt bij te dragen aan de genezing van diabetes!

Diabetes is nog steeds één van de meest voorkomende chronische ziekten in Nederland. In totaal worstelen 1,2 miljoen Nederlanders dagelijks met diabetes Type 1 of 2.

Maar elke dag zetten we een stapje verder. Onderzoeken naar diabetes type 1 tonen veelbelovende resultaten, en er zijn steeds meer ontdekkingen over deze auto-immuunziekte.

Daarnaast is de kunstalvleesklier bijna klaar om de markt op te gaan! De kunstalvleesklier maakt het mogelijk om de bloedsuiker eenvoudig te reguleren, wat de kwaliteit van leven aanzienlijk verbetert. De onderzoeken bevinden zich in de laatste fase en de resultaten zijn veelbelovend!

En daarom kom ik in actie samen met Dion. Dit doen wij door mee te doen aan de kwart triathlon van de Utrechtse Heuvelrug op 21 september 2024. Dit is een afstand van 1,5 km zwemmen, 40 km fietsen en 10 km hardlopen. 

Met deze actie hopen wij aandacht te generen voor diabetespatiënten. Alle bijdragen gaan direct naar het Diabetes Fonds. Bedankt voor je steun en hulp.
